Yamaha YZF-R15S V3 launched in new ‘matte black’ colour: Price starts at Rs 1,60,900 – Times of India

New Matte Black color option currently available. has joined racing blue colour scheme. Apart from the new paint scheme, no changes have been made to the styling and features of the motorcycle. The YZF-R15S V3 gets dual-pod LED headlamps, side-slung exhaust, tail-lamps and full-fairing. Apart from this, the motorcycle gets 17-inch wheels with 100 mm wide front tire and 140 mm wide rear tyre, aluminum swingarm, deltabox frame and a multi-function LCD instrument cluster with gear shift indicator.
The company says that customer demands are always given priority and every effort is made to meet those demands. Ever since the launch of YZF-R15S Version 3.0 in Racing Blue color last year, the company has conducted a market research to register all the customer feedback. Yamaha says that to cater to the needs of these young and new customers, the company has decided to launch the YZF-R15S version 3.0 in ‘Matte Black’ colour.
In terms of engine, Yamaha YZF-R15S V3 retains the same 155cc BS6-compliant single-cylinder liquid-cooled four-stroke fuel-injected SOHC engine, which churns out 18.1 bhp power and 14.1 Nm torque. It comes with a six-speed transmission. The engine benefits from an assist and slipper clutch system and Variable Valve Actuation (VVA).
Suspension duties are handled by identical telescopic front forks and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock. The Yamaha YZF-R15S V3 gets dual-channel ABS for safety and disc brakes on both the wheels. The curb weight of the motorcycle is 142 kg.
