Yami Gautam is back on screen with her latest film ‘Lost’. In the film, the actress will be seen playing the role of a journalist who goes in search of a lost person. Ever since her debut with Vicky Donor opposite Ayushmann Khurrana, Yami has always earned accolades for her roles on the big screen. She has proved her talent many times with films like ‘Kaabil’, ‘Badlapur’, ‘Bala’ and ‘A Thursday’. Now, Yami is looking for more interesting roles and she wants to play Madhubala and a warrior princess.
Yami Gautam said, “I think there are many (roles) but one thing I definitely want to do in life. I love costume drama. I would love to play a warrior princess one day. I have said many times that if I am asked to choose a biopic, I would love to play Madhubala ji. She remains an icon. After Madhubala ji, I have two-three personalities in my mind. But, I would like to sign first and Then talk about any role.”
The actor said that as an artiste, she looks for interesting projects instead of focusing on the platform. “I am an actor first. My job is to look for the best opportunities that I can get. I don’t see any difference between OTT and big screen productions. It is the prerogative of the producer (for which platform the film is made) ) ) And I am doing my job as an actor, be it on OTT or on the big screen. ‘Bala’ was my last release in theaters and found its audience.’
Talking about her upcoming film Lost, Yami Gautam said, “It is an investigative thriller, an emotional human drama. It also talks about the media in today’s times. talks about things and was shot entirely in Kolkata. During the pandemic. We hope the film works. Abhik da (cinematographer Abhik Mukhopadhyay) has shot the scenes beautifully. The film has its own pace Is.
