The Yezdi Scrambler is one of three new Yezdi models launched by Classic Legends, its parent company. Jawa Motorcycles, The Yezdi Scrambler is based on the same 334 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled DOHC engine, but differs from the Yezdi Roadster and Yezdi Adventure. The Scrambler is designed to be an accessible and fun bike for light off-road duties, and retains that cool, modern classic vibe while still looking like a true-blue factory custom. Situated in the middle of the range of three new Yezdi motorcycles, here’s a look at what the Scrambler has to offer.

The design of the Yezdi Scrambler is minimalistic, making it look like a factory custom one, trimmed down, with a truncated tail section.

The design of the Yezdi Scrambler is minimalistic, and still retains the classic look with rounded headlamps, teardrop-shaped fuel tank and chopped tail section with chrome-finished dual exhausts. The long and wide set handlebars with an upright riding position should offer a comfortable riding position and a commanding view of what lies ahead of the rider. The Scrambler gets knee pads on the 12.5-litre fuel tank, ribbed seats and a chopped tail section and a different rear subframe.

Both the Yezdi Scrambler and Yezdi Roadster share the same round, offset, LCD instrument console.

Properties

The instrument console is a round LCD unit, which is offset, and somewhat reminiscent of the Ducati Scrambler’s instrument pod. The scrambler comes with LED headlamps and taillight, clear lens LED indicators as well as handlebar-mounted USB and Type C charging points. The Scrambler also gets three-level ABS with road, off-road and rain settings.

The engine of the Yezdi Scrambler is tuned to generate 27 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 28.2 Nm at 6,750 rpm.

Like other Yezdi bikes, the Scrambler also gets the same 334 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine, but with a slightly different tune. On the scrambler, the engine tunes 28.7 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 28.2 Nm of peak torque at 6,750 rpm.

The Yezdi Scrambler has the shortest wheelbase, boasting 200 mm of ground clearance and 150 mm of front suspension travel, with 130 mm of rear suspension travel.

Chassis and Suspension

Of the three Yezdi motorcycles, the Scrambler is the smallest, with a wheelbase of 1,403 mm. It rides on 19-inch front wire spoke wheels and 17-inch rear wire spoke wheels, with tires suitable for light off-road use. Suspension travel is more than the Roadster with 150mm of front wheel travel, and gas-charged twin rear shock absorbers with preload adjustability and 130mm of travel, but less than the Adventure. It also gets a ground clearance of 200mm, and that should be enough for some fun outings in the dirt.
