Lucknow: Listing the changes that have come Uttar Pradesh since BJP Chief Minister came to power in 2017 Yogi Adityanath He said that UP was earlier known for riots over trivial issues, but this was the first time that goodbye and Eid prayers were not offered on the streets.
He also said that over one lakh loudspeakers were removed from religious places and donated for public service, listing the achievements of his government.

“Out of at least four dozen schemes of the central government, UP ranks first in terms of implementation. Before 2017, UP was never in the forefront of any scheme. The state witnessed over 700 riots between 2012 and 2017, leading to months of curfews in areas of the state. However, in the last five years, no riots took place in the state,” the CM said.
Yogi Adityanath was speaking virtually at the 75th Foundation Day celebrations of RSS-affiliated magazines ‘Organiser’ and ‘Panchjanya’.
The CM also said that “Today every resident of UP feels safe and women and children especially feel safe and secure. This is the reason why half of the population (women) voted for BJP irrespective of caste and religion.

“After the formation of the government, there were reports of violence from different parts of the country” Ram Navami But UP remained peaceful,” he said.
“Usually after assembly elections, riots are a common occurrence in states, but in UP there cannot be any such violence during assembly elections and even after elections. Ram Navami was celebrated without any violence. For the first time, more than one lakh loudspeakers have either been removed from religious places or their decibel level has been brought down. Now, the same loudspeakers and microphones have been donated to schools and hospitals for public service,” the CM said.

UP is moving towards becoming the number two economy of the country. However, in the last 70 years, the state could only secure the sixth position in terms of the state’s economy. In the last five years, the government has doubled the per capita income of the people in UP,” Yogi said.
The CM also said how the menace of stray animals has been controlled by the steps taken by the government. He said that when the BJP government came to power, it closed all illegal slaughterhouses, which keep stray cattle roaming the roads and fields. “But to meet this challenge, we have established more than 5,600 animal shelters,” he said. The CM said that UP is also setting up a new model where CNG from cow dung will be procured from the people at the rate of Re 1 per kg. We have taken all necessary steps to protect the cows,” Adityanath said.
The CM also said that not only is a grand Ram temple being built in Ayodhya, but pilgrimage sites like Mathura, Vrindavan and Chitrakoot have also found new life.
