Caretaker Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath Will visit the national capital today before the formation of the government after the election results in UP. He will hold discussions with the top leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
He is likely to discuss the dates of the swearing-in ceremony of the new government in the state with top BJP officials along with the new cabinet.
Yogi will leave for Hindon Airport from Lucknow at 8 am, from where he will go to Delhi by road. He will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah and party’s National General Secretary (Organisation) BL Santosh during his Delhi visit.
BJP has won the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections with a clear majority for the second time in a row. Yogi Adityanath submitted his resignation to UP Governor Anandiben Patel on Friday ahead of government formation in the state.
According to reports, after Holi, Yogi Adityanath can take oath as the CM of Uttar Pradesh for the second time. Adityanath will be the first chief minister to return to power after completing a full term in the state in the last 37 years.
After a massive victory in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, Adityanath held a meeting with his ministerial colleagues at the party office in Lucknow on Friday.
Adityanath won his first assembly election from Gorakhpur Urban constituency by a margin of 1,03,390, defeating Samajwadi Party candidate Subhavati Upendra Dutt Shukla, who secured 62,109 votes in the recently concluded UP Assembly elections.
