Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday hit out at the opposition SP, saying that they call themselves Samajwadi but only Saifai family flourishes in the party. Saifai is the ancestral place of party chief Akhilesh Yadav.
Addressing a series of rallies in Ambedkar Nagar, CM Yogi said that Dr Ram Manohar Lohia used to say that a true socialist should “stay away from property and children”. “But the slogan of these so-called socialists is ‘Sabka Saath, Saifai Parivar Ka Vikas (Support for all and development of Saifai family),” Adityanath said attacking the Samajwadi Party. He said that in 1960, Dr. Lohia started the Ramayana Mela.
“Now, his current followers shoot Ram devotees,” he said, apparently referring to the police firing on “kar sevaks” in Ayodhya, when Mulayam Singh Yadav was the chief minister of the state. Adityanath alleged that the previous governments in the state stole ration for the poor.
“For those who eat ration for the poor, we have bulldozers. Such is the power of a bulldozer that it is used for construction of Purvanchal Expressway as well as destroying properties of dishonest and corrupt politicians.
The Chief Minister also referred to the legacy of Maharaja Suheldev, who had defeated and killed the invader Ghazi Sayyid Salar Masood in a battle at Bahraich.
“People doing politics in the name of Maharaja Suheldev are working against his ideology today. I believe that the followers of Suheldev cannot stand with Ghori and Ghaznavi.” Having won the first four phases of the elections. “Once again, the BJP will cross the 300-seat mark,” he said. He appealed to the voters to vote for the BJP for a riot free state.
