‘You portrayed me as villain’: Nephew Ajit attacks Sharad Pawar at party meet

“You portrayed me as a villain in front of everyone. I still have deep respect for him (Sharad Pawar)…But you tell me, IAS officers retire at 60…even in politics,” Ajit Pawar said.

Ajit Pawar cited BJP leaders who retire at the age of 75 and gave the examples of LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi. The Deputy Chief Minister asked for the blessing of his uncle and prayed that he lives a long life.

“BJP leaders retire at 75. You can see the example of LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi…That allows the new generation to rise…You (Sharad Pawar) give us your blessings…The other day, he went to the YB Chavan memorial…I have also been there…but you are 83, aren’t you going to stop?.. Give us your blessings and we will pray that you live a long life,” he added.

Ajit Pawar faction approaches Election Commission of India

In a show of strength, Ajit Pawar addressed the NCP leaders and workers at MET Institute of Management in Bandra. Ajit Pawar has knocked on the door of the Election Commission of India (ECI) and staked the claim to Nationalist Congress Party and party symbol, the sources of ECI told news agency ANI.

The election body also received a caveat from Jayant Patil, National President Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar faction) who informed that they have initiated the process of disqualification of 9 MLAs.

NCP Working President Supriya Sule responded to Ajit Pawar and alleged that the BJP is the most corrupt party. Supriya Sule added that the original NCP is with Sharad Pawar and the original symbol is us.

“Disrespect us, but not our father (Sharad Pawar). This fight is against the BJP government. BJP is the most corrupt party in the country. The original NCP is with Sharad Pawar and the original symbol is us,” Supriya Sule said.
