Young man may die due to break of friendship

The despair over the broken friendship seems to have led to the gruesome incident, in which a young man allegedly attacked his friend with a knife and then, moments later, publicly slit his throat at Deshbhimani Junction near Kaloor on Monday evening. Gave.

The Ernakulam Town Police, which is probing the matter, has also reached the same conclusion at the moment. A 25-year-old youth from Thoppumpadi took the extreme step after allegedly attacking his friend from Aluva, a few meters away. Police said the two met on Facebook a year ago and have been best friends ever since.

“For unknown reasons, they had an altercation a few days back, and the friend blocked the number of the deceased. On Monday, the young man messaged him to meet him in Kaloor. They had a long conversation, but the friend insisted on ending their friendship. Then with a slight warning the youths took out the chill power and threw it in the face of the other, and then slammed him,” police sources said.

The friend somehow managed to escape from the spot and boarded an autorickshaw and reached the general hospital. He has since been discharged and is resting at home. The police have also recorded his statement.

Meanwhile, the police claimed to have received a note from the mobile of the deceased. They also doubt whether he would have committed such a gruesome act in his senses.

The parents of the deceased are in a state of shock over the tragic end of their only son. He said he had no knowledge of the cause of the incident and demanded a detailed inquiry. He said his son looked happy even on Monday and the one who was attacked was his close friend.

The deceased was an engineering graduate and worked in an IT firm in Kaloor. The body was handed over to the relatives after post-mortem on Tuesday evening.
