If you ever felt that your new xbox Series X or S is taking a long time to boot up, there is good news for you. The Verge reports that the latest Insider build for the Xbox Dashboard brings a fresher and shorter boot animation, reducing the cold boot startup time to around 5 seconds for the new one. With the latest Insider build, Xbox testers noticed that start up times are much faster than before. Later, on Twitter, Xbox Integrated Marketing Director Josh Muncie confirmed that the team had worked to create a short boot up animation. Josh says the new boot animation is just 4 seconds longer than the original 9-second-long original boot-up animation, which reduces the overall startup time.
Xbox one the console will boot even faster
Also, these changes won’t be limited to the new Xbox Series X and S consoles only. The older Xbox One will also receive the new startup animation, says Jake Rosenberg, senior product manager lead at Xbox.
However, there is a catch. A new startup animation will be shown when the console is set up energy saver mode And not in standby mode. So, the total boot up time in Energy Saver Mode is reduced from 20 seconds to 15 seconds for the Xbox Series X/S console. Microsoft Background update support for Energy Saver Mode has also been rolled out recently. Energy saver mode is the default option, so you don’t have to do much to enjoy the new shorter boot animations.
There is no word on when this new boot up animation will be released. But, if you are running the latest Insider build of Xbox Dashboard, you can give it a try.
