A video of a Zomato delivery agent eating food from a plastic bag quickly gained viral status on Tuesday, causing widespread disappointment among netizens. Shared on Twitter by IAS officer Awanish Sharan, the footage shows the agent, dressed in a Zomato t-shirt and carrying a company delivery bag, hastily devouring something (probably dal, chawal) from a plastic bag while standing alone near his motorcycle. He is gulping the food down as quickly as possible, seemingly to go about his duties faster.
Sharan posted the video on Twitter with the caption, “This season, take care of them too.”
The video moved social media users too and they were quick to pour their hearts out in the comments section.
“It’s not vulnerability, it’s the truth. He is a human too. Let the people know how they are fed by people who serve them food 24/7,” one Twitter user wrote.
“Heartbreaking to see such videos,” commented someone.
